5 G's Resources

5 Gs Remote Learning Framework

To assist teachers and districts in preparing for remote instruction, the Midwest Regional ESC’s curriculum team has created this remote learning framework.

This framework is centered around 5 Gs:  Grab attention, Give content, Generate discussion, Gain data, and Grant feedback.  As students engage in remote learning, the instruction should include these critical aspects.  A lesson/assignment should not have all the Gs but should at least involve one or two.

This framework can also be used to plan lessons that can be used in both face to face and remote learning depending on the district’s plan.
